Please feel welcome to leave your photos and memories of Richard here.

If you wish to make a donation in Richard's memory we have chosen three charities which helped Richard and will continue to support other brain tumor patients and those in palliative care.

It seems strange to think that Richard was lucky to live two years after his diagnosis of a glioblastoma, but the average life expectancy with this disease is around 15 months, and the eventual survival rate is 0%. Brain cancer is the biggest killer of children and adults under the age of 40, and yet receive a pitifully low level of NHS funding. Brain tumours may not be the most famous or common cancers, but they certainly are among the most devastating. Charities like Brain Tumour Research are working to update and modernise treatment to give families like ours more time together.

Royal Trinity Hospice only receive 25% of their funding from the NHS and must raise the rest.  They cared for Richard both at home and in the hospice and we are so grateful for their support of us all. I am not sure how we would have got through the final weeks of his life without them.
